The atrocity that is Southern lynch law transformed into American lynch law, a defining characteristic of a nation. This horrendous transformation spawned from your feeble hands, not simply two hands, but hundreds of hands en masse, in mob. Our democracy is no less warlike than Athenian democracy we attempt to emulate, to surpass. Athens, Nashville, the Athens of the South, is a naked, bloody example of blood-thirstiness of nineteenth century civilization.
American lynching emulates no democracy. It is mob rule. Mobs tear away humanity and kill black men for no reasonable cause, for the reputation of their women. Your confidence in committing lynches on men and outages on women is solely based on your mob's power. On your own, your virility is feeble. You are sad excuses for defenders of your women's honor.
