I wonder if you would make connections between the lynchings of black people in the past to police brutality towards black people today. The lack of government or judicial intervention allows for the continual killing and disenfranchisement of black people. It reminds me of The New Jim Crow, how society continues to find new ways to kill black people and consequently break apart black families and continue to put black children through unnecessary trauma. I wonder what your thoughts would be about all of this considering there are so many parallels between what was happening back then and what is happening now.
